CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Our Children's Church is presently undergoing re-organisation but, as always, children and their parents are very welcome to attend any of our Services. There is an area set aside at the back of church where younger children will find books and toys with which to amuse themselves whilst their parents attend the service. However, on two Sundays in the month we hold special "child friendly" services in which children are encouraged to take part. The present pattern is as follows:

First Sunday

 10.00 am    First Sunday Praise

The music and stories are particularly suited to children of all ages at this service and the children themselves often take part in the activities. It is preceded by coffee and biscuits - a good time for family and friends to meet before any Baptismal services which often take place at 11.15 am.

Second Sunday

  9.50 am    Junior Church
 10.00 am    Sung Communion Service

Children are welcome at Junior Church, led by Vicki Billyard, which takes place in the Church Hall starting at 9.50 am. They join the main service in the church shortly before it ends. Coffee and biscuits are served after the service.

Third Sunday

 10.00 am    Family Communion Service

This is a Communion Service which is specially adapted to be more meaningful to youngsters. They are encouraged to assist the Priest at certain points in the service and again the music and readings are particularly suited to families with young children. Coffee and biscuits are served after the service.

Fourth Sunday

Please note that during the vacancy the "Allsorts" Service has been temporarily suspended.

 10.00 am    Sung Communion Service

Children are welcome to attend this service with their parents and there is a special area with books and toys set aside for them. Coffee and biscuits are served after the service.

Fifth Sunday

10.00 am    Normally a Family Communion Service

The calendar gives more details for specific Fifth Sundays. Children are welcome to attend this service with their parents and there is a special area with books and toys set aside for them. Coffee and biscuits are served after the service.
